Our Story

Established in August 2010, One Sea is the ultimate boutique fishery producer, with just one vessel and one licence it fishes north of Rottnest Island, and with the same vessel it works the waters south of Perth in Geographe Bay. One Sea now owns all the entitlements to fish in the Rottnest Island Fishery thus allowing One Sea to be the only supplier of Rottnest Island Premium Seafood.

We started the company with a vision to brand the harvest by region and season, treat it like treasure and deliver it fresh, on the same day it’s landed

You simply can’t buy fresher, premium quality, local seafood that is so easily monitored and managed, to ensure its sustainability.

We are proud to say that in less than one year the Rottnest Island Scallop was starring on the menus of leading restaurants including Russell Blaike’s Must Bar, Guilliaume Brahimi's Bistro Guilliaume and Neil Perry’s Rockpool, both at Crown Casino,Rustico and other fine establishments in WA, NSW and Melbourne.

And, along with Rottnest Island King Prawns, flounder, flathead and whiting, is a much-prized item in the showcases of leading retailers including Seafresh Innaloo, Claremont and Myaree, and Boatshed Fish Co in Cottesloe.

A selct number of restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne also feature Rottnest Island scallop on their menus.

The Harvest
